Fields of Color: Portfolio 2
Many of these paintings are related directly or indirectly to the Terra Incognita series that I have written about on the introductory page in
Fields of Color: Portfolio 1. I am planning to include a third gallery of color field paintings later that will include several related paintings completed over the past several years.
I began presenting many of these as an installation after grouping them together in my studio. I was fascinated by the interaction between the various paintings and began displaying them in this way in galleries. A number of paintings from the Terra series as well as others here have been grouped together by the collector's as an installation--ranging from two to nine hung in one larger composition.
