These pictures are from my first trip to Paris in 2004. I have been lucky to return two additional times since then and I will add more pictures in the future, but I will add them in groups of 20. This was my first trip overseas, and all of these were made digitally (my Canon 10D with a 24-85 zoom). I learned a lot...and it was COLD! The snow in the second week of February represented a wonderful improvement, and was warmer. I returned in 2007, but in April, and it was delightful! Not that I have much experience to reflect back on, but Paris remains one of the high points around the world. There are several pictures of Chairs. I began photographing these because of how many and where they were located. I began with the Tuilleries--the gardens to the east of the Louvre--and copious chairs were left after the last conversation between folks. I remembered my mentor Dan and what he said about Traces...I borrowed it to mean a reflection of the last conversation held in these locations. Also, my friend Joel counted-up all the exposures I had made in the seven day period that I was gone, and he came-up with an incredible number of pictures that I had made...something like once every thirty seconds outside of sleeping and food needs! But what can I say...it was my first time there!
